Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal data when you visit the Website or engage our services (research, laboratory services, training, consulting).

Our compliance stance

Until India’s DPDP framework is fully brought into force, we comply with applicable Indian law including the IT Act and the SPDI Rules, 2011. We are aligning this Policy to the DPDP Act, and will update operational elements when the implementing rules are notified.

1) What we collect

• Identifiers & contact: name, organization, designation, email, phone, postal address.
• Transaction & billing: service orders, payment instrument metadata (we do not store full card/UPI credentials).
• Professional & correspondence: inquiries, RFPs, statements of work, emails/chats.
• Technical/usage: device, browser, IP address, timestamps, pages viewed, referral URLs, and cookie/SDK data for basic analytics.
• Do not include unless actually used: biometrics or other sensitive categories.

2) How we collect

• Directly from you (forms, emails, calls, contracts).
• Automatically via cookies/SDKs (see “Cookies & analytics”).
• From service providers/partners where needed to deliver a service (e.g., payment gateway, logistics, event/training partners).

3) Why we use personal data

• To provide, operate, and support our services; process payments and issue invoices.
• To communicate about orders, results, training, or policy updates.
• To improve Website performance and user experience; maintain security and prevent fraud.
• To comply with law and enforce agreements.
• Marketing (with opt-out controls).

Legal basis: Under SPDI Rules, we obtain consent for sensitive data; under the DPDP Act, we rely on consent or “legitimate uses” permitted by law.

4) Sharing and processors

• Service providers (processors): payment gateways, IT/hosting, CRM, analytics, email/SMS.
• Affiliates and business partners: where needed to deliver contracted services.
• Legal & compliance: regulators, courts, law enforcement, or to protect rights and safety.
• Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or restructuring.

5) Cross-border transfers

Our providers may process data in India or other countries. We use contractual and technical safeguards; and we will comply with any country-specific restrictions the Government notifies under the DPDP regime once in force.

6) Retention

We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purpose collected, legal/accounting requirements, or to resolve disputes. When no longer needed, we delete or irreversibly anonymize it. Example: transaction records are retained for at least 8 years under tax laws.

7) Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical controls proportionate to the risks (access controls, encryption in transit, logging/monitoring, employee confidentiality).

8) Your rights

• Access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent.
• Complain via grievance officer or Data Protection Board (when in force).

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time via unsubscribe links or by contacting us. Transactional/service communications will still be sent where necessary.

12) Grievance redressal & contact

Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month.

13) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect operational or legal changes. Material updates will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.

Refund Policy

In case of any refunds approved by Agrivet Research and Advisory Private Limited, it will take 30 days for the refund to be processed and credited to you.
